Law Firm Files Class Action Lawsuit Against Compass, Inc.
Robbins LLP has initiated a class action lawsuit against Compass, Inc., alleging the company provided misleading information to shareholders during its 2026 merger with Anywhere Real Estate.

Robbins LLP has opened a class action lawsuit on behalf of former Anywhere Real Estate investors who received Compass, Inc. common stock in the January 2026 merger. The complaint challenges the accuracy of the Registration Statement and prospectus issued during the transaction.
The litigation alleges that Compass provided false assurances regarding its compliance with antitrust laws and regulatory approval processes. Specifically, the suit contends that the company utilized external lobbyists to circumvent standard federal merger reviews, despite public concerns raised by U.S. lawmakers regarding potential monopolistic behavior in the real estate sector.
Following the merger, Compass shares have experienced a sharp decline of more than 28% from the exchange date valuation. Investors who held stock through the transaction period have until December 7, 2026, to move the court for appointment as lead plaintiff.
