Law Firm Files Class Action Lawsuit Against Fractyl Health

The plaintiffs allege violations of federal securities laws related to statements made about the company's business and its Revita DMR system.
The complaint contends that Fractyl and its leadership provided misleading information about the efficacy of Revita, a treatment for type 2 diabetes and obesity, and its clinical trials, specifically citing data from the REMAIN-1 study's Midpoint Cohort. The lawsuit alleges that the company leveraged promising interim data to raise tens of millions of dollars through stock offerings in August and September 2025.
The disclosures that allegedly revealed the truth came on January 29, 2026, when Fractyl released six-month data from the REMAIN-1 Midpoint Cohort. These results indicated a more modest weight regain compared to previously presented figures. Fractyl CEO Harith Rajagopalan stated during a subsequent investor call that issues at specific study sites contributed to the disappointing efficacy results. Following these disclosures, Fractyl's stock price dropped approximately 68 percent.
