Law Firm Files Lawsuit Against School District Alleging Whistleblower Retaliation

Norco, Calif. – Attorneys for Gomez Trial Attorneys announced on Thursday, July 16, 2026, the filing of a whistleblower retaliation lawsuit against the Corona-Norco Unified School District and Sunbelt Staffing. The suit alleges the district improperly terminated an employee after she raised concerns.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Alejandrina King, a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). King claims she faced retaliation, a hostile work environment, and wrongful termination after repeatedly reporting alleged violations concerning a special needs student’s education plan. She also alleges failures in providing legally required breaks and paying owed wages.

King is scheduled to publicly discuss her experiences for the first time at a press conference held at the school district's headquarters. Legal team members, including civil rights attorney John Gomez, will also be present. The complaint seeks compensatory damages, lost wages, emotional distress, and other relief.

The suit further alleges violations of California's whistleblower protection laws. The court-confirmed complaint will be made available to media at the press conference. Gomez Trial Attorneys is a firm specializing in civil rights and employment law.
