Law Firms Unite to Represent Victims of Boyle Heights Warehouse Fire
Three law firms, ACTS LAW, Becker Law Group, and Keosian Law LLP, have joined forces to represent those affected by the major Boyle Heights warehouse fire. They are now accepting clients alleging various losses, including health issues and financial damages.

BOYLE HEIGHTS, Calif. โ Three California law firms โ ACTS LAW, Becker Law Group, and Keosian Law LLP โ have announced they are combining efforts to investigate and represent parties harmed by a significant warehouse fire in Boyle Heights. The firms are now seeking clients who suffered losses such as health problems, smoke or ash damage, cleanup costs, displacement, lost income, or business interruption directly linked to the fire.
The fire, which began on June 17, 2026, occurred at a privately owned, approximately 500,000-square-foot cold-storage warehouse. Official reports indicate an ammonia line ruptured during the incident, leading to the release of pressurized ammonia and forcing firefighters to withdraw from the roof. Dense smoke blanketed Boyle Heights and surrounding areas, prompting shelter-in-place orders and air quality advisories.
"For over a week, families breathed smoke, saw ash settle on their homes and businesses, and waited for answers," stated Alexander Cohen, a founding partner at ACTS LAW. "Now, many face ongoing health concerns, property contamination, cleanup expenses, and potentially low-balled insurance claims. Our firms have united to preserve evidence, identify responsible parties, and pursue full compensation for those impacted."
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The law firms plan to scrutinize the events leading up to the fire, the warehouse's safety systems, the handling of hazardous materials, and the actions of all entities involved in the property's operation, ownership, or maintenance. A persistent odor has been reported due to the large quantity of spoiled food stored in the warehouse. Affected individuals are advised to document all damages and retain relevant receipts.
Firefighting efforts concluded on June 25. Local and state officials declared emergencies to mobilize resources for recovery. The collaborative legal effort aims to ensure that victims receive justice and adequate compensation for their damages.
