Lawmaker: Apple Removed ICE-Tracking Apps With Trump Admin

Apple has faced criticism for removing apps designed to track Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity, such as ICEBlock, from its App Store. US Representative Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) has accused the company of working with the Trump administration to justify the removals.
Raskin stated that Apple has not provided evidence to support claims that these apps posed safety risks to officers. He further alleged that the company used unconnected immigrant deaths as a basis to censor Americans' right to document government activity.
In a letter to Apple on Monday, Raskin asserted that the tech giant appears to be "working with the government to violate its customers’ First Amendment rights to record and report on the activities of their own government," as reported by CNN.
