Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche Hosts New Circus Show
Parisian department store Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche is presenting a new acrobatic circus production titled "Entre Chiens et Louves" in collaboration with Cirque Le Roux.
Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, the Parisian luxury department store, is staging a new performance titled "Entre Chiens et Louves" (Between Dogs and She-Wolves). The show is a co-production with the acrobatic circus troupe Cirque Le Roux.
The production blends circus arts, comedy, and cinema. It follows three characters who have inhabited the same apartment in different eras: 1850, 1960, and the present day. Despite the centuries separating them, they share common challenges as they navigate inevitable changes.
"Entre Chiens et Louves" features a combination of balancing acts, acrobatics, and contortions. The performance is described as a mix of historical reverie and thriller, shedding light on human relations through the interpretations of eight circus artists. The decor is minimalist yet impactful, creating an epic and tragi-comic dreamlike universe.
Performances are scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from September 1 through December 30, 2023. A special New Year's Eve show will take place on December 31.
