Riot Games has unveiled the official schedule for the 2026 League of Legends (LoL) World Championship (S16). The prestigious esports event is slated to commence on October 16, with the grand finals taking place on November 15, 2026.
The tournament structure includes three distinct phases. The initial Play-In stage will be held in Los Angeles from October 16 to 19. Following this, the Swiss Stage will take place in Allen, Texas, between October 24 and November 1. The final phase, the Knockout Stage, begins on November 4, culminating in the championship match on November 15. While the quarterfinals and semifinals of the Knockout Stage will be hosted in Allen, the final match is set to be played at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The Play-In stage features four teams competing in a best-of-five (Bo5) double-elimination format. The Swiss Stage requires teams to secure a minimum of three victories to advance to the Knockout Stage. In this phase, teams are matched against opponents with identical win-loss records, ensuring fair competition while preventing rematches against the same opponent.
Teams representing China's LPL region in the championship include AL, BLG, TES, and IG. While specific match times are provided in Beijing Time, the full schedule detailing all regional times is available through official channels.
