Leaks Suggest New Super Smash Bros. and Nintendogs Titles
A leaker has revealed details on several upcoming Nintendo games, including a new Super Smash Bros. installment and the return of Nintendogs. The information emerged prior to an official Nintendo Direct presentation.
Details regarding several potential new Nintendo game releases have surfaced following information shared by a known leaker. Malo932, who has previously accurately predicted multiple game announcements, has shared insights into upcoming titles.
According to the leaks, a new Super Smash Bros. game is in development and is not a port or enhanced version of an existing title. The classic Nintendogs pet simulation series is also reportedly set to return. The last entry, Nintendogs + Cats, was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2011.
Further leaks indicate a paid DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe planned for 2027, which would add Fox McCloud from the Star Fox series. An independent Star Fox adventure game is also said to be in development. Other rumored projects include a new 3D Mario game, a 2D Metroid title, and a pixel art style remake of Metroid Prime.
A new entry in the Wario Land series is also anticipated, potentially for the Switch 2. The last traditional platforming installment of Wario Land was released in 2008, with the IP largely dormant since then, aside from the WarioWare party game series.
