Leapmotor C-Series Vehicles Receive New Features via OTA Update

Leapmotor has released an over-the-air software update for its C-series vehicles, introducing enhancements to autonomous driving and infotainment systems.

12 October 2026

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor has begun rolling out an Over-the-Air (OTA) software update for several of its C-series models. The update applies to the 2024 model years of the C01, C10, C11, and C16, as well as select 2026 models.

The update introduces six new features and five functional optimizations. A key addition is the city navigation pilot assist function for models equipped with LiDAR, expanding its coverage to all cities across China. Parking assist has also been improved for narrow spaces, with the system automatically adjusting the camera view when the side mirrors are retracted.

Infotainment system enhancements include a new children's space application for the rear entertainment screen (where equipped) and the addition of Dolby Atmos support in popular music streaming apps. A monitoring mechanism for long-term vehicle offline status has been added, with the mobile app sending reminders to check the vehicle's condition to prevent battery drain.

Further optimizations include improved performance for the straight-line driving summon feature (for LiDAR-equipped models) and enhanced accuracy for the sentinel mode, reducing false triggers from light and shadow changes. The display of charging information within the mobile app has also been refined for clarity.
