Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor has confirmed that its latest C10, C11, and C16 models will utilize battery cells sourced from top-tier domestic manufacturers. The company disclosed this information in response to frequently asked questions from users, with the update coinciding with the models' relaunch on June 16.

According to Leapmotor, the battery design for these vehicles already meets new national standards scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2026. The company states the batteries have passed over 1,000 rigorous tests, including 34 certification tests and 1,029 safety tests, asserting that the safety standards significantly exceed national requirements.

Furthermore, the first owners of these vehicles will receive lifetime free warranties covering the battery, electric drive, and control systems, provided the vehicles are not used for commercial purposes. Alongside battery upgrades, the exterior and interior designs of the cars have also been refreshed. Sales for the C-series surpassed 30,000 units in their launch month.

Pricing for the Leapmotor C10, C11, and C16 varies based on the specific model and trim level. For instance, the new C10 electric versions range from 132,800 to 142,800 yuan. Leapmotor's focus on battery quality and safety is part of its broader strategy to enhance its competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.
