Chinese automaker Leapmotor has officially launched its new all-electric A05 model in its domestic market. The vehicle is offered in five different configurations, with prices ranging from 63,900 yuan (approximately $8,800 USD) to 90,900 yuan (approximately $12,500 USD).

The Leapmotor A05 is designed for urban use and offers competitive range capabilities. Models in the lineup are equipped with either 39.8 kWh or 53 kWh battery packs, providing a range of up to 405 kilometers or 510 kilometers on a single charge, respectively. The car measures 4200 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, and 1560 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2605 mm.

Inside, the Leapmotor A05 emphasizes technology. The vehicle features an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central infotainment screen. Higher trim levels include a Qualcomm 8295 chip-powered infotainment system, a 12-speaker audio system, and up to 43 driver-assistance functions, including Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities supported by LIDAR sensors.

The car's exterior design is described as rounded, featuring flush door handles and distinctive taillight designs. The interior focuses on space utilization with versatile seating arrangements and ample storage solutions. The trunk capacity is 474 liters, expandable to 1308 liters. Leapmotor aims to strengthen its position in China's rapidly growing electric vehicle market with the A05 model.
