Chinese automaker Leapmotor has revealed design details for its upcoming A05 pure electric vehicle. Display cars have begun arriving at dealerships and the model is expected to launch in the near future.
The Leapmotor A05 will feature the Qualcomm 8295 flagship cockpit chip, supporting multitasking and intelligent interaction. The vehicle is equipped with a 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central control screen. It also includes a 12-speaker immersive audio system with a karaoke function.
Interior design emphasizes comfort and versatility. It boasts 2.6 square meters of soft-wrapped interior surfaces, seven-layer comfort seats, and a 256-color ambient lighting system. Seat versatility is highlighted, with various modes for resting, transport, and even pet accommodation. The trunk offers a base cargo volume of 474 liters, expandable to 1308 liters with the rear seats folded.
The car integrates advanced technology with practical features. The driver's side features a small tray table suitable for work, dining, or leisure. Additionally, there are 33 storage compartments for smaller items.
Earlier this year, the A05 was included in China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) catalog of new energy vehicles eligible for purchase tax exemptions. It will be offered with battery packs of either 39.8 kWh or 53 kWh, providing a range of 405 km and 510 km, respectively. The car measures 4200 x 1800 x 1560 mm with a wheelbase of 2605 mm. Motor power options are 70 kW and 90 kW.
