Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor has officially unveiled the Leapmotor A05s, the first sedan model in its A-series. The car distinguishes itself with a "pink and black" two-tone body design, adhering to Leapmotor's established design language. Notably, the exterior features a prominent LIDAR sensor on the roof, indicating advanced driver-assistance capabilities.
Previously reported technical specifications for a related model, the Leapmotor A05, indicate the A05s will be powered by either a 70 kW or 90 kW electric motor. It will offer two battery options: a 39.8 kWh unit providing a range of 405 km, and a larger 53 kWh battery delivering 510 km of range. These figures align with information filed for vehicle tax exemptions.
The A05s measures 4200 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, and 1560 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2605 mm. The car's exterior styling is rounded, featuring semi-hidden door handles. The taillights have a distinct 'smiling' internal design, enhancing their recognizability when illuminated.
Leapmotor positions the A05s as a smart and agile premium sedan. Further details on pricing and market availability are expected to be released at a later date.
