Lecy launches AI Visibility module for local businesses

French loyalty company Lecy has launched AI Visibility, a module designed to help independent shops and franchise networks enhance their visibility in AI-powered search engines and map services.

The new module addresses a growing trend where consumers increasingly use artificial intelligence for local business recommendations. Studies indicate that a significant portion of consumers query AI for suggestions, and being recommended by AI is substantially harder than ranking in traditional Google searches.

AI Visibility monthly tracks responses from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google Maps when asked for business recommendations. It compares a business's standing against its three closest competitors and, through an AI agent, proposes actions, including preparing responses and posts for approval.

Lecy's system utilizes NFC loyalty tags that link physical visits to customer feedback and reviews. Recent reviews based on actual visits are critical factors for AI recommendations. AI Visibility analyzes review volume, competitor strategies, and geographic positioning, among other metrics.

The module operates by reading public information from a business's Google profile and the web, requiring no installation. All suggested actions need merchant approval before publication, ensuring control over the business's public image.
