LedgerBPO Launches Outsourced Bookkeeping and Billing Teams for Small Businesses

LedgerBPO, the accounting and billing division of SS Support Network LLC, has launched outsourced bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts receivable, and month-end close services for small and medium-sized businesses and the accounting firms that serve them. The division operates in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

The service launch addresses converging pressures on small businesses: a shrinking supply of accountants and persistent late payments. Industry analyses indicate over 300,000 accountants and auditors have left the U.S. profession since 2019, with vacancies taking two months or longer to fill. Simultaneously, late payments remain the most common cash-flow problem reported by small firms in all four of LedgerBPO's markets.

LedgerBPO integrates bookkeeping and billing into a single process. Each client is assigned a named remote accountant, supported by a trained backup and a team lead, who works within the client's own accounting software during the client's business hours. Services include recording and reconciling ledgers, preparing and sending invoices, running reminder sequences, following up on overdue accounts by telephone under the client's brand, applying incoming payments to open invoices, and reporting receivables aging weekly.

SS Support Network has provided back-office operations for healthcare and transportation companies since 2020. LedgerBPO applies a staffing model where one accountant owns each client file month after month, with a second accountant trained on the file to cover absences. A team lead reviews the close before it is presented to the client. LedgerBPO never holds or moves client funds, and clients retain full control of their accounting platform.
