Legacy Partners to Build 380 Apartments in Aurora, Colorado
Legacy Partners is adding 380 market-rate apartments to Aurora, Colorado, near transit and city center amenities. The development addresses the city's growth and is built on a historically challenging sloped site.

Legacy Partners has commenced construction on a 380-unit market-rate apartment development in Aurora Metro Center, Colorado. The project, named Legacy Metro 525, is situated near the Aurora Center Light Rail Station and aims to densify the urban fabric by complementing existing shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
The development addresses Aurora's consistent population growth, which has averaged approximately 5,000 new residents annually for over a decade. Legacy Metro 525 will provide residents with direct access to major employment centers, including Fitzsimons, Denver Tech Center, and Denver International Airport. Legacy Partners has a substantial track record, having developed over 78,000 apartment homes since 1968.
The project presented significant construction challenges due to its sloped location. Building on the site required complex engineering, including a stepped foundation supporting a precast concrete parking garage around which the wood-framed building is wrapped. KTGY served as the architect, and Catamount Constructors as the general contractor, both having prior collaborations with Legacy Partners.
Legacy Metro 525 will feature two large courtyards designed as community hubs, equipped with pools, grilling areas, and lounge spaces. KTGY stated the project is designed for seamless integration into the urban landscape, meeting high renter expectations for quality living environments.
