Legal firm probes Magnolia Management following data breach

Edelson Lechtzin LLP, a national law firm, is conducting an investigation into a data privacy breach involving Magnolia Management Company, LLC. The incident, which originated from unauthorized access to an employee email account in April 2026, resulted in the exposure of personal information belonging to over 3,000 residents in assisted living facilities across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Exposed data includes Social Security numbers, medical records, financial account details, and driver’s license information. While the company claims it has no evidence of active misuse of the data, the sensitivity of the information has prompted legal scrutiny into the firm's data protection measures and notification timeline.

The firm is currently evaluating the feasibility of a class action lawsuit to seek compensation for affected individuals, citing the significant risks of identity theft and financial fraud. Magnolia Management has begun providing affected individuals with two years of credit monitoring services as a recovery measure.
