LEGO Announces New Mario Kart Sets for 2026 Launch
LEGO expands its LEGO Super Mario line with new Mario Kart-themed building sets scheduled for release in 2026. The collection features iconic characters and vehicles for a racing-inspired building and play experience.

The LEGO Group has announced an expansion of its popular LEGO Super Mario product line, introducing new sets based on the renowned Mario Kart video game series. These upcoming sets are slated for a 2026 launch, bringing fan-favorite characters and iconic karts into the LEGO building universe.
The new collection allows enthusiasts to construct and engage with elements familiar from Mario Kart, such as item boxes and track features. The sets will include buildable figures of characters like Baby Mario and Baby Luigi, accompanied by their signature vehicles. Some sets are designed to be compatible with the interactive LEGO Mario, LEGO Luigi, or LEGO Peach figures (sold separately), which add authentic sound and visual effects to the gameplay.
Beyond individual character and kart sets, the lineup features larger track builds. One notable addition is the "Baby Peach's Grand Prix" set, which includes multiple characters like Baby Peach, Lakitu, Lemmy, and Toad, along with various vehicles and track obstacles. Another set, the "Standard Kart," focuses on a classic kart model with a detachable Super Glider function and a Toad figure.
With the LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart sets, The LEGO Group aims to merge the creativity of building with the competitive fun of the Mario Kart games. The company states these products are designed to appeal to both long-time Mario Kart fans and new LEGO builders, offering diverse construction and play opportunities. The 2026 release is expected to significantly enhance the LEGO Super Mario offering.
