LEGO Announces New Speed Champions Sets for 2026
LEGO is introducing new Speed Champions toy sets for 2026, featuring vehicles from movies and real-world sports cars.
LEGO GmbH has announced the release of several new toy sets for its popular Speed Champions series, scheduled for 2026. The new additions will feature vehicles inspired by well-known cars from films and reality, offering new building projects for children and adults interested in automobiles and construction.
The lineup includes the APXGP Team Race Car from the F1 movie, the Bugatti Vision GT Hyper Sports Car inspired by the Gran Turismo game, and the Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale Sports Car. Additionally, the series will introduce Lightning McQueen from Disney's animated film Cars to celebrate its 20th anniversary, the McLaren W1 supercar, and the DeLorean time machine from Back to the Future.
Each set aims to replicate the details and design of the original vehicles. Many sets also come with minifigures representing characters from movies or games, allowing for role-playing activities beyond the building process. The LEGO Builder app enables builders to follow instructions digitally, utilizing 3D models and zoom features.
As with previous Speed Champions releases, the new models are designed for various age groups, starting from 9 years old. The goal is to provide realistic vehicle experiences through LEGO bricks, while also fostering fine motor skills and creativity. The new sets are expected to be available starting in early 2026, expanding LEGO's automotive-themed offerings.
