LEGO Education Launches New STEM Sets for Home
LEGO Education is expanding its offering beyond the classroom with the launch of four new STEM sets designed to foster children's curiosity and scientific exploration at home.

BILLUND, Denmark – January 20, 2026 – LEGO Education today launched four new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) sets, specifically designed for children aged 7 and up for use at home. The sets aim to spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and provide hands-on scientific discovery experiences.
The new sets, focusing on space, animals, and nature, have been developed in collaboration with educators and inspired by real-world challenges. While LEGO Education's products have traditionally been classroom-focused, this launch marks an expansion into direct-to-consumer offerings for the home environment.
A global study conducted ahead of the launch revealed a 'curiosity gap,' with parents struggling to keep up with children's science-related questions. Nearly three-quarters of parents (75%) feel unprepared to tackle science questions at home, and 34% admit they sometimes halt their child's exploration due to time constraints or uncertainty. The new sets aim to address this gap.
“This research shows that parents want to support their children’s curiosity about the world around them but aren’t always equipped to explain science-specific questions themselves,” said Victor Saeijs, President of LEGO Education. “Now, for the first time, children can explore science at home with these LEGO Education STEM sets, using the Build, Solve, Invent approach. By building, testing, and inventing their own solutions, children discover that every attempt—even an unexpected one—contributes to learning.”
The sets utilize LEGO Education's established 'Build, Solve, Invent' methodology, transforming learning into an adventure. Children first build a model, then test and adjust it to solve challenges, and finally apply learned concepts to invent their own solutions. The sets will be available in select LEGO stores and online starting January 20, 2026.
