LEGO Group Appoints New Chief People Officer
Daan Ottink – van den Broek will become LEGO Group's Chief People Officer effective April 1, 2026, succeeding Loren I Shuster who moves to an advisory role.

BILLUND, DENMARK – The LEGO Group announced that Daan Ottink – van den Broek, Senior Vice President, Talent, will assume the role of Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer starting April 1, 2026. Ottink – van den Broek will join the company's Executive Leadership Team.
She succeeds Loren I Shuster, who has served as Chief People Officer since 2017. Shuster will transition to a new position as Group People Advisor to CEO Niels B Christiansen, focusing on strategic activities outside the LEGO Group.
Daan Ottink – van den Broek joined the LEGO Group in 2025. Prior to this, she held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer for Unilever's Global Personal Care Business Group and Global Functions. Her 27-year career at Unilever included human resources responsibilities across diverse categories, functions, and geographies.
LEGO Group CEO Niels B Christiansen highlighted Ottink – van den Broek's dedication to the company's culture and values, along with her extensive experience in leading HR teams within large global organizations. He anticipates her contributions to maintaining high levels of employee motivation and support.
