Lego Group Achieves Strong Growth in First Half 2025
The Lego Group has announced its financial results for the first half of 2025, revealing continued strong performance with a notable increase in both revenue and profit. The company stated that it outpaced the overall toy market, as demand for its product portfolio remained robust across all markets, particularly in Western Europe and the CEEMEA region. Lego Group also increased investments in strategic initiatives aimed at fostering both short-term and long-term growth.
Revenue for the period rose by 12% to a record DKK 34.6 billion (approximately USD 5.0 billion), up from DKK 31.0 billion in the same period of 2024. Consumer sales saw a 13% increase. Operating profit grew by 10% to DKK 9.0 billion (approximately USD 1.3 billion), driven by strong top-line performance and enhanced productivity. The company also increased spending on areas such as sustainability, retail, and digitalization. Net profit increased by 10% to DKK 6.5 billion (approximately USD 940 million).
Cash flow from operating activities was DKK 5.9 billion, a decrease from DKK 7.5 billion in H1 2024, mainly attributed to the timing of cash outflows and increased tax payments. During the first half, the company opened a new state-of-the-art factory in Vietnam to support long-term growth in the Asia-Pacific region and a new Americas head office in Boston, U.S.
Lego Group launched a record 314 new sets in the first half of 2025, catering to a wide range of ages and interests. The company expanded its portfolio through new partnerships and continued to invest in digital services and physical retail, opening 24 new stores globally, bringing the total to 1,079 branded stores in 54 markets. Lego Group also reiterated its commitment to reducing its environmental impact and increasing the use of sustainable materials.
