Lego Introduces New Interactive Play Technology at Comic-Con
Danish toy giant Lego Group unveiled its new LEGO SMART Play Gateway experience at San Diego Comic-Con, introducing a new dimension of interactive play to popular franchises.

The Lego Group introduced its new LEGO SMART Play Gateway experience at San Diego Comic-Con, allowing attendees to engage with favorite franchises through enhanced interactive play. The technology aims to bring popular characters and environments to life.
The LEGO SMART Play Gateway featured two distinct immersive environments: a LEGO Pokémon Lab and the Mos Eisley Cantina from Star Wars. Utilizing patented SMART Brick technology, these exhibits responded to user interaction, creating dynamic experiences.
In the Pokémon Lab, visitors could interact with virtual Pokémon characters, triggering responses through lights and sounds generated by the SMART Bricks. The Mos Eisley experience recreated iconic scenes, enabling fans to engage with characters and elements of the Star Wars universe within the display.
In addition to the SMART Play demonstrations, Lego also displayed new product reveals for various franchises at the event. The company highlighted LEGO SMART Play as a significant advancement in its play experience, building upon its foundational system.
