LEGO Launches Formula 1 Collection
The LEGO Group has unveiled a new Formula 1 collection featuring detailed brick-built F1 cars. The sets are designed for both collectors and younger racing fans.
The LEGO Group has introduced a new collection of Formula 1 building sets aimed at motorsport enthusiasts. The collection features multiple construction sets that replicate the precise details and design of F1 cars.
The new F1 collection expands LEGO's Speed Champions line. It includes ten distinct sets representing cars from the 2024 Formula 1 season. These models were developed in collaboration with Formula 1 and incorporate elements like Pirelli tire details.
Daniel Meehan, Senior Design Manager at LEGO, discussed the creation of the collection. "We designed these sets for fans of Formula 1 and racing in general," Meehan stated. "We wanted to authentically capture the aerodynamic and design principles, along with all the details."
The sets cater to a wide age range. Children as young as two can engage with cars from the LEGO DUPLO series, while the Speed Champions line offers challenges for those eight years and older. The collection is slated for release in early 2025.
This collaboration between LEGO and Formula 1 builds on previous partnerships, offering iconic race cars in brick form to a broader audience. The company anticipates the collection will appeal to both young and adult fans.
