Billund, Denmark – May 23, 2023 – The Lego Group has unveiled a new Lego Technic NASA Mars Rover Perseverance model, a STEM-themed product designed to encourage children to learn more about engineering.
The Perseverance rover landed on Mars two years ago to seek signs of ancient life. This Lego Technic model allows builders aged 10 and up to understand the engineering feats behind the vehicle's capabilities on the Martian surface and its functions.
The model features 360° steering, a movable arm, and articulated suspension allowing the rover to traverse uneven terrain on its six wheels. Accompanying the rover replica is a model of the Ingenuity helicopter.
Additionally, the Technic AR augmented reality app provides a holistic experience, blending physical and digital interaction. Users can discover educational content about the real rover and its mission, including Mars weather and environmental data. The Lego Technic NASA Mars Rover Perseverance model will be available for purchase starting June 1, 2023.
