LEGO GmbH has released comprehensive guidance for users encountering issues with its LEGO Powered Up system. The instructions aim to help users resolve common problems related to the Powered Up app and its connected components, such as the Smart Hub.

A primary requirement for the Powered Up system is device compatibility. LEGO advises users to check the device compatibility guide and confirm their device supports Bluetooth version 4.1 or higher, as the app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for communication with the components.

For Android users, LEGO emphasizes the need to enable location permissions, which allows the app and the Smart Hub to establish a connection. Reinstalling the app is also suggested as a troubleshooting step. When contacting support, users are asked to provide details on any prior troubleshooting attempts and their device's make and model.

Connecting a Smart Hub to the app or a remote control involves pressing the green button on both devices. Connected units indicate successful pairing by a change in light color. LEGO notes that the Bluetooth connection has an approximate range of 10 meters, with signal strength potentially varying.

While one remote control can manage up to three Smart Hubs simultaneously, the Powered Up app currently supports connecting to only one hub at a time. Users can reset Smart Hub connections by pressing and holding the green button until the light extinguishes. Sound issues are typically resolved by checking the device's volume settings, as audio output originates from the app.
