Lego releases detailed Hubble Space Telescope desktop model

Lego has introduced a new construction set depicting the Hubble Space Telescope.

The Lego Icons Hubble Space Telescope set (number 11382) became available on August 2 for $140. The model, comprising 1,252 pieces, measures 38 cm (15 inches) in length and is designed as a desktop display.

This set is the first Lego model to be scaled for compatibility with minifigures. An included astronaut figure provides a sense of scale for the telescope.

The new Hubble model is approximately twice the size of previous Lego Hubble iterations and is intended for prominent display.
