Leica Camera and Formula 1 announce global licensing partnership
Leica Camera has entered a licensing agreement with Formula 1, debuting with a co-branded edition of the Leica Q3 43 camera.

German optics manufacturer Leica Camera and Formula 1 have finalized a long-term licensing partnership. The agreement, announced in Los Angeles, centers on co-branded photography equipment, beginning with the release of a limited-edition Leica Q3 43 camera featuring bespoke design elements from the racing series.
The collaboration serves as a branding initiative for Formula 1, which continues to expand its presence beyond the racetrack into luxury consumer electronics. For Leica, the partnership provides access to a significant global audience associated with the motorsport circuit, aiming to position the camera as a high-end collector’s item.
Financial details regarding the licensing deal were not disclosed. The limited edition camera is currently being rolled out to select retail outlets as the companies prepare for further joint initiatives.
