Lenire Included in US ENT Clinical Practice Guidelines
Lenire, a treatment for tinnitus, has been included in the American Academy of Otolaryngology's (AAO-HNS) clinical practice guidelines for ENT. It is the first new treatment added since the guidelines for tinnitus were established.

Lenire, a device used to treat tinnitus, has officially been incorporated into the clinical practice guidelines of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Foundation (AAO-HNS) in the United States. This marks the first time in decades that the academy has added a new type of treatment to its established guidelines.
The AAO-HNS has released its updated guidelines for tinnitus management, and the Lenire device is now a recommended option for specific patient populations. This decision is based on clinical studies that have demonstrated the device's efficacy and safety.
Lenire utilizes a combination of oral stimulation and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation. The device was developed to offer alternatives to traditional treatment methods, which are not always sufficient or suitable for all individuals experiencing tinnitus. This inclusion reflects the field's ongoing effort to integrate novel, evidence-based therapies into clinical practice.
The inclusion in the guidelines may increase awareness and accessibility of Lenire for patients across the US. It may also stimulate further development and research into new tinnitus treatment modalities moving forward.
