Lenovo Expands AI Security Offering in Singapore, APAC
Lenovo is adding SentinelOne Prompt Security to its ThinkShield portfolio in Singapore and other Asia Pacific markets. The tool aims to monitor employee AI use and set data-sharing rules.

Lenovo has expanded its artificial intelligence-driven security offering in Singapore and across broader Asia Pacific markets with the addition of SentinelOne Prompt Security to its ThinkShield portfolio. The new tool is designed to help companies monitor their employees' AI usage and establish data-sharing protocols.
The solution, slated for a regional launch at GovWare 2026, will provide security teams with visibility into shadow AI use within organizations. It aims to block sensitive data from being transmitted to unauthorized AI applications and protect against prompt injection attacks. Lenovo announced the expansion on October 14.
This move deepens Lenovo's existing collaboration with SentinelOne, a California-based cybersecurity firm, on endpoint security. The company's own research indicates that 90% of IT leaders perceive gaps in their defenses against AI-driven threats. Concurrently, Singapore has issued draft guidelines on personal data use in generative AI, signaling increased regulatory scrutiny in the region.
The expansion comes as businesses grapple with the increasing prevalence of employee AI use. A PagerDuty survey found that 66% of office workers engage in shadow AI, presenting potential security risks if not properly managed.
