10 October 2026

Lenovo has begun selling its new 245-watt Gallium Nitride (GaN) power adapter in China for 249 yuan (approximately $34 USD). This new adapter is significantly smaller and lighter than previous models and is specifically designed for Lenovo's 'Dou Zhan Zhe' series of high-performance laptops.

The new adapter is approximately 30 percent smaller and 28 percent lighter than the previous 240W model. It measures 82x82x33mm and weighs about 449.7 grams. The device features a three-prong grounded plug and a 1.5-meter DC cable with a 5.5x2.5mm round connector. The cable's thicker core and built-in shielding are designed to handle high-load scenarios.

The power adapter supports Lenovo's 'Dou Zhan Zhe' series models, including the 7000, 7000P, and 7000X, enabling their 'Beast Mode' and 'Dou Zhan Mode' high-power states. The GaN technology allows for more efficient power conversion in a smaller form factor, reducing heat generation and improving energy efficiency.

Further details and availability are focused on the Chinese market. The release of this new adapter highlights Lenovo's ongoing efforts to provide more compact and powerful solutions for demanding computing needs.
