Lenovo Unveils New Handheld Gaming Console

Lenovo has unveiled its new Legion C700 handheld gaming console, integrating cloud gaming services with local streaming capabilities. The device supports Tencent's START cloud gaming platform, enabling demanding titles such as "Black Myth: Wukong" to be played at 60 frames per second. Lenovo reports that the console offers end-to-end Round Trip Time (RTT) latency under 10 milliseconds, utilizing proprietary streaming software for optimized performance.

The C700 features a 7.82-inch 120Hz IPS LCD display. Weighing approximately 556 grams and measuring 14.9 millimeters thick, it is designed to be lighter than many traditional Windows handhelds. Control inputs include TMR sensor joysticks, Hall effect linear triggers, and an omnidirectional D-pad, complemented by two programmable back buttons and two shoulder buttons.

On the software side, the C700 runs Lenovo's in-house LEGION STREAM management software. The console supports one-click streaming and offers both offline and high-speed streaming modes. A customizable control center allows for real-time performance monitoring, quick access to gamepad settings, and fan and screen parameter adjustments.

Lenovo has indicated that players can adjust gamepad sensitivity and button mappings, and switch between game modes on the fly. While a launch was previously suggested for August 2026, a specific release date has not yet been announced.
