Lenskart, an Indian eyewear retailer, has increased its shareholding in AjnaLens, a startup specializing in extended reality (XR) technology. The company invested INR 8 crore (approximately $960,000 USD) in Dimension NXG, the parent company of AjnaLens, raising its stake to 9.01% from 7.21%.

This latest investment is part of Lenskart's strategy to deepen its involvement in the smart eyewear and wearable technology ecosystem. The company has made multiple acquisitions in AjnaLens this year, with the total investment across three transactions reaching INR 18.5 crore (approximately $2.2 million USD).

AjnaLens provides hardware and software solutions using XR technology, reportedly catering to sectors including defense and enterprise. The startup reported a turnover of INR 10.4 crore in FY26, a decrease from INR 12.8 crore in FY25.

Lenskart has been expanding its smart eyewear offerings, including its Phonic audio glasses and upcoming AI-powered smart glasses. The global smart glass market has seen significant growth, with shipments reportedly increasing over 1,000% in 2025. Lenskart, operating in India and several international markets, has recently reported strong revenue and profit growth.
