Lenskart profit doubles as eyewear retailer expands network

Lenskart's consolidated net profit more than doubled to Rs 232.5 crore for the second quarter ended September 2026, compared to Rs 103.5 crore in the prior-year period. Revenue from operations increased by 35.7% to reach Rs 2,845 crore.

The growth was driven by higher unit sales and a strategic push toward premium eyewear products. The company’s India operations contributed 58.6% of the consolidated revenue, supported by the addition of 143 net new stores. Globally, Lenskart expanded its footprint with 22 additional locations, bringing its total store network to 3,624 across several markets.

Lenskart attributed its improved margins to structural investments in centralized manufacturing. The company is currently scaling its in-house production capabilities for frames and lenses, with a new facility under construction in Hyderabad. Additionally, the retailer is integrating AI across its operations, including inventory planning, customer support, and staff training.

Operating expenses rose by 31.1% to Rs 2,596.8 crore, largely due to increased procurement costs and deliberate investment in cloud technology and logistics. The firm continues to focus on unit growth and operational efficiency as it expands its international presence.
