Lenskart stock hits record high following quarterly profit surge

Lenskart shares surged 11.1% to reach a record high of ₹767.4 on the BSE following the release of its second-quarter fiscal results. The company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹232.5 Cr, representing a 124.7% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating revenue rose by 35.7% to ₹2,845 Cr, as revenue growth outpaced rising costs.

The retail chain added 165 net stores during the quarter, including 143 in India and 22 in overseas markets. Analysts credited the performance to strong same-store sales growth, which reached 20.8% in India, and operational efficiencies gained through increased in-house manufacturing. The integration of AI-led eye testing is also reported to be helping the company scale operations while overcoming labor constraints.

Market response remains generally positive, with firms such as Jefferies and Nomura raising price targets based on margin expansion and store footprint growth. However, some market participants, such as Citi, maintain a neutral outlook, cautioning that premium valuations and tougher year-over-year comparisons in the coming months may limit further price appreciation.
