Lenskart's Q1 Profit Surges 3.7X YoY to ₹228.4 Cr, Revenue Up 43%

Eyewear retailer Lenskart reported a 273% year-over-year increase in net profit for the first quarter of FY27, reaching ₹228.4 crore. Revenue for the period grew by 43%.

Lenskart, an omnichannel eyewear company, announced a significant financial performance for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. The company's consolidated net profit surged by 273% to ₹228.4 crore, compared to ₹61.2 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. This marks a substantial improvement in profitability for the eyewear giant.

Revenue also saw robust growth, with operating revenue climbing 43% year-over-year to ₹2,714.2 crore. Including other income, the total income for the quarter stood at ₹2,782.7 crore. Total expenses increased by 35% year-over-year, indicating continued investment in operations and expansion.

Beyond its financial results, Lenskart's board approved several strategic investments. The company is increasing its stake in its Singapore-based joint venture, Baofeng Framekart Technology Ltd, by investing ₹10.6 crore to acquire an additional 19% stake, bringing its total ownership to 70%. This move aims to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities.

Furthermore, Lenskart is expanding its reach by launching its step-down subsidiary, OWNDAYS, in the Republic of Korea with an investment of ₹20 crore. The company is also establishing a new subsidiary in China, Wenzhou Framekart Trade Co., Ltd, to engage in the trading and procurement of spectacle frames, with an investment of ₹1.4 crore. The company also allocated equity shares to eligible employees under its stock option plan.
