Leo Express Launches Direct Train Service from Gotha to Krakow

Leo Express has launched a new direct overnight train service from Gotha Central Station in Germany, traveling through Saxony and Thuringia, to Krakow, Poland. This new offering aims to provide an alternative to flying and driving for European travel.

The train route commences in Gotha, allowing passengers to board there. The service stops in several German cities, including Erfurt, Weimar, and Leipzig, before proceeding to Poland. The service features various classes, such as Economy, Business, and couchettes designed for longer journeys, including sleeping compartments.

On-board staff are responsible for ticket checks and offer beverages and snacks during the trip. Leo Express utilizes multi-system Siemens Vectron locomotives, which are capable of operating across different European railway power systems, thereby eliminating the need for locomotive changes at borders and improving journey efficiency.

Passengers have provided positive feedback regarding the train's comfort, cleanliness, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Some individuals are utilizing the service for commuting between cities. Leo Express seeks to make rail travel more appealing and environmentally sustainable.
