LEQI Targets International Expansion with New Capital
Shenzhen-based LEQI is scaling its electric mobility operations and R&D capabilities following a successful Series B funding round.

Founded in 2016, LEQI has evolved from a producer of electric scooters into a manufacturer spanning e-bikes, electric motorcycles, and smart mobility-integrated luggage. In March 2026, the company closed a Series B funding round led by Xiaomi Group and Shunwei Capital to accelerate research into electric-drive systems and AI-based adaptive control.
LEQI operates internationally through its proprietary brands, Megawheels and LEQI. While the company recorded the highest volume of electric scooter shipments globally in 2025, it faces the persistent challenge of establishing long-term brand loyalty and robust after-sales infrastructure in foreign markets. Successfully scaling requires navigating diverse international regulatory environments, such as meeting specific road-approval standards like the ABE certification in Germany.
The company is currently emphasizing a shift toward integrating rideable technology into everyday consumer products, exemplified by its Red Dot-awarded L3 smart suitcase. As LEQI expands, its ability to maintain technical performance while adapting to specific local maintenance and support expectations will determine its longevity as a global mobility provider.
