Les Grands Chais de France upgrades its supply chain network with Körber
French wine exporter Les Grands Chais de France (LGCF) is implementing Körber's Warehouse Management and Control Systems across its 14 logistics sites. The upgrade aims to boost performance and supply chain reliability.

Les Grands Chais de France (LGCF), France's largest wine exporter, is modernizing its nationwide supply chain network by implementing Körber's Warehouse Management System (WMS) across all 14 of its logistics sites. The project also includes the deployment of a Warehouse Control System (WCS) for automated sites in Petersbach and Landiras. LGCF is further planning to integrate voice-directed work and gamification solutions as part of this extensive modernization effort.
The global wine exporter, which ranks as the world's fifth-largest wine exporter, aims to achieve significant performance gains, improved resilience, and enhanced reliability within its supply chain. This large-scale transformation also addresses the limitations of LGCF's previously used software, which offered little room for evolution. Körber's solutions are expected to optimize warehouse workflows and provide ongoing support for supply chain management.
Körber was selected due to its extensive expertise and comprehensive supply chain solutions tailored for the retail sector. "Commerce has been unpredictable the last three years, and yet customer expectations and the demand for performance remain high," said Ottavio Rivelli, SVP Sales & Operations Software South Europe at Körber Business Area Supply Chain. "Organizations must have technology that provides the agility and flexibility to adapt and respond to the market in consumer-oriented ways." Körber plans to accelerate the performance of LGCF’s national supply chain network.
Eric Marseglia, Head of Industrial IT & Logistics at LGCF, highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership. "We anticipate a thoroughly planned transition without interruption for our business and aim to build a strong long-term partnership for strategic decisions," Marseglia stated. The integrated workflows are designed to ensure continuity in the production chain and 24/7 system availability.
The project is scheduled to commence in June 2024, with the initial installation covering four sites. The remaining ten sites will be handled by LGCF. The entire modernization undertaking is expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2026.
