Lesotho Launches National Farmers Portal, Creating Digital Registry

Lesotho's Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and... has launched a national farmers portal, creating a unified digital registry for all agricultural producers in the country. The system, built on the Joget DX Enterprise platform, consolidates farmer and land information from all 10 districts.

This initiative, which went live in October, provides the ministry with a more robust foundation for serving farmers and improving agricultural services. Previously, data was fragmented across different districts, hindering comprehensive analysis and effective policymaking.

The portal is expected to streamline the distribution of agricultural subsidies and improve data collection related to the nation's food security. This digital transition represents a significant step towards modernizing the administration of Lesotho's agricultural sector.
