Leverage Edu acquires Brazilian firm, expands to South America

Indian study abroad startup Leverage Edu has expanded its operations into South America through the acquisition of Brazilian international education company Mundus Agency. This marks Leverage Edu's first international acquisition.
Mundus Agency assists students in pursuing higher education opportunities abroad. Leverage Edu confirmed the acquisition to sources, but did not disclose the financial terms of the deal. The acquisition is intended to strengthen Leverage Edu's global footprint.
Prior to this acquisition, Leverage Edu had a presence across South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. India currently accounts for 50-55% of the startup's revenue, followed by Africa at 25%, with South Asia and the Middle East contributing about 10% each.
Brazil is identified as one of the fastest-growing outbound student markets globally, with an estimated 90,000 Brazilian students pursuing higher education overseas annually. Leverage Edu plans to pursue further acquisitions in both domestic and overseas markets.
