Lexar Launches PexarBolt Ultra Docking Station
Lexar has introduced the PexarBolt Ultra docking station, featuring Thunderbolt 5, a 5-inch touchscreen, and an NVMe slot. The product is now available for crowdfunding.
Lexar, a technology company, has announced the release of its PexarBolt Ultra docking station, targeting the high-end market. The device is equipped with multiple Thunderbolt 5 ports, a 5-inch touchscreen, and an M.2 NVMe slot for expansion. It is currently available through crowdfunding campaigns internationally.
The PexarBolt Ultra features three Thunderbolt 5 ports, offering a bandwidth of up to 80 Gbps. It supports delivering 140W of power to connected laptops and provides 15W of downstream power. The dock includes DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 outputs, capable of driving two 8K 60Hz displays or three 4K 144Hz displays simultaneously.
Connectivity options include two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports on the front panel, which can supply up to 45W of power. A 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port (7.5W power output) are also present. For professional users, the dock incorporates card readers for microSD 4.0, SD 4.0, and CFexpress Type-B memory cards.
Additional ports on the rear include three USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports (7.5W power output), one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, and two USB-A 2.0 ports. A 10 Gigabit Ethernet port is included for high-speed networking, alongside another 3.5mm audio jack.
A notable feature is the 5-inch touchscreen integrated into the top of the dock, which displays information such as the number of connected devices, power output, and transfer speeds. The internal M.2 NVMe SSD slot operates at PCIe Gen 4x2 speeds. The dock has a listed price of $649, with an early bird crowdfunding price of $479.
