LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions adds AI video tool to Desk Officer Reporting System

LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions unveiled its updated Desk Officer Reporting System (DORS) alongside a new feature, Field Clarity, at the IACP 2026 conference in Orlando. The technology allows officers to use smartphone-based AI guidance to capture and process video evidence directly at the scene.

The integration aims to automate portions of the documentation process, allowing officers to build case files more efficiently. By using AI to assist in field reporting, the company claims the tool provides standardized video evidence collection, which may reduce the administrative burden on desk officers and improve the accuracy of submitted reports.

This update enters a market where law enforcement agencies are increasingly seeking digital tools to manage rising volumes of digital evidence. By moving reporting functions to a smartphone-integrated workflow, LexisNexis seeks to modernize traditional desk reporting processes that often require manual entry and physical file management.

The new system is currently being positioned as a means to improve the quality of evidence submitted for case building. The company plans to roll out the updated DORS platform to its existing client base following its debut at the IACP event.
