LG CLOiD Home Robot Debuts at CES 2026

LG Electronics used CES 2026 to publicly debut its LG CLOiD home robot, a device designed to automate domestic chores and reduce physical labor in the home. The robot is a key component of LG's "Zero Labor Home" vision, which aims to leverage robotics and interconnected appliances for household management.

CLOiD is engineered to perform and coordinate various tasks, including cooking and laundry, through its integration with LG's ThinQ ecosystem. At the consumer electronics show, the robot was expected to demonstrate its ability to retrieve items from appliances, such as milk from a refrigerator, and manage laundry cycles.

The robot features a head unit, a torso with two articulated arms, and a wheeled base for autonomous navigation. Its arms possess seven degrees of freedom, enabling them to manipulate a range of objects within typical household environments like kitchens and laundry rooms.

The head unit serves as a mobile AI hub, equipped with a processor, display, speaker, cameras, sensors, and generative AI. This allows CLOiD to communicate with users, learn their routines, and control connected home appliances.

LG CLOiD represents the company's advancement in physical AI, integrating Vision Language Models (VLM) and Visually-guided Language Acquisition (VLA) to simplify and streamline household management.
