LG CLOiD Home Robot to Debut at CES 2026, Demonstrating "Zero Labor Home"

LG Electronics is set to unveil its new LG CLOiD™ home robot at CES 2026, demonstrating its "Zero Labor Home" vision. The robot is designed to reduce the time and physical effort associated with everyday household tasks by coordinating actions with connected appliances.

The company plans to showcase CLOiD performing various domestic duties in simulated home environments. Demonstrations will include tasks such as retrieving milk from a refrigerator and placing items in an oven for breakfast preparation. The robot is also designed to initiate laundry cycles and fold clothes post-drying.

LG CLOiD features a modular design with a head unit, a torso equipped with articulated arms offering human-like dexterity, and a wheeled base for autonomous navigation. The arms possess seven degrees of freedom, allowing for a wide range of motion and fine manipulation with five independent fingers per hand.

The head unit functions as a mobile AI hub, incorporating a processor, display, cameras, and sensors. It utilizes generative AI for voice interaction, learning user habits and home environments, and controlling smart appliances. The robot's capabilities are underpinned by LG's Physical AI technology, which translates visual and verbal inputs into physical actions.

Alongside the CLOiD robot, LG is introducing its LG Actuator AXIUM™ brand of robotic components. These actuators, crucial for robot joints, leverage LG's expertise in appliance manufacturing to offer compact and efficient designs, positioning the company to play a role in the emerging physical AI market.
