LG Earns NVIDIA Validation for AI Data Center Cooling Unit
LG Electronics' 600kW Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) has achieved NVIDIA validation. The certification meets over 100 technical criteria, positioning LG as a trusted supplier for AI data center infrastructure.
LG Electronics has secured NVIDIA validation for its 600-kilowatt (kW) Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU). This milestone confirms the performance and reliability of LG's thermal management technology for high-performance AI data centers.
The CDU successfully passed NVIDIA's stringent technical evaluation, which included over 100 criteria focused on cooling efficiency, reliability, and failover capabilities. This validation designates LG as an NVIDIA-validated supplier, aiming to reduce procurement risks for global data center operators.
LG offers a comprehensive "Chip-to-Chiller" portfolio of cooling solutions for AI data centers. This includes chillers, CDUs, and cold plates designed to effectively manage the heat generated by AI hardware. The company has recently secured significant data center cooling projects in North America and Indonesia.
LG plans to expand NVIDIA's validation process to cover its other high-capacity CDU models, such as 1MW, 2.5MW, and 4MW variants. The company aims to further solidify its position as a global partner for AI data center infrastructure, leveraging its 60 years of expertise in the HVAC sector.
