LG Electronics awards scholarships to University of Lagos students
LG Electronics has granted scholarships to ten engineering students at the University of Lagos in recognition of their academic performance.

LG Electronics has launched a scholarship program for students in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Lagos. Ten students who maintained a grade point average between 4.0 and 5.0 were selected for the inaugural awards.
The program offers beneficiaries a four-month industrial attachment at LG Electronics. Following graduation and the completion of their national service, participants are eligible for paid internships with a pathway to potential permanent employment within the company.
Jeayoung Lee, Managing Director of LG Electronics West Africa, stated that the initiative is based on the belief that quality education is essential for institutional functionality. University of Lagos Vice Chancellor, Professor Adetokunbo Babatunde Sofoluwe, commended the move, citing the company's historical support of the faculty, which includes laboratory renovations and hardware donations.
This scholarship initiative represents an extension of the company's corporate social responsibility portfolio in Nigeria, which has previously involved medical outreach and environmental conservation efforts.
