LG Electronics Japan announced in December 2021 the appointment of Song Seong-jou as its new President. He began his tenure in December 2021, succeeding the previous leadership at the company's Japanese subsidiary.

Song Seong-jou's career at LG Electronics began in 2000 in overseas sales and marketing. He brings extensive international experience, including roles within the Vietnam subsidiary and various management positions in Japan, particularly in consumer electronics and TV sales. Prior to his appointment as President, he led the Consumer Electronics division at LG Electronics Japan.

Song Seong-jou graduated from Pusan University with a degree in Business Administration in 1999. His appointment comes as LG continues to focus on strengthening its presence in the Japanese market with its diverse range of consumer electronics and home appliance products.

LG Electronics Japan has been operating in Japan since 1981. The company imports and sells a wide array of products, including home appliances, televisions, monitors, and vehicle components. Its headquarters are located in Tokyo.
