LG Energy Solution has signed a memorandum of understanding with U.S. commercial electric vehicle startup indiGOtech to explore the supply of 46-series cylindrical battery cells for electric vans and potential technological collaboration.

LG Energy Solution and U.S.-based commercial electric vehicle startup indiGOtech have entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore the supply of 46-series cylindrical battery cells and technological collaboration. The agreement focuses on supplying cells for indiGOtech's upcoming electric vans between 2027 and 2030.
indiGOtech, headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts, specializes in electrifying commercial van platforms for the North American market. The company is developing an integrated ecosystem encompassing vehicles, charging infrastructure, and digital services. Under the MoU, LG Energy Solution would supply its 46-series NCM cylindrical battery cells for indiGOtech's Flow Ride and Flow Cargo electric vehicles.
The partnership aims to enhance vehicle performance by optimizing battery integration, potentially extending driving range and reducing charging times. Both companies intend to collaborate on joint business development and performance verification efforts to maximize the economic advantage for fleet operators.
LG Energy Solution is looking to expand its customer base for its 46-series cylindrical batteries, which have seen increased production and shipments. This collaboration aims to establish a foothold in the diverse U.S. commercial vehicle market, including logistics, last-mile delivery, and ride-hailing services.
