LG Introduces AI-Enabled Televisions with Voice Assistants in India
LG Electronics India has launched its 2019 television lineup featuring AI ThinQ, integrating Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for enhanced voice control and smart home capabilities.

LG Electronics India has released its latest range of televisions for 2019, incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) ThinQ technology. The new models span across LG's SMART, LED, UHD, NanoCell, and OLED series, offering advanced features and connectivity.
The core innovation lies in the integration of voice assistants. LG's 2019 OLED TVs, along with select NanoCell models, now come with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built-in. This allows users to control TV functions, access information, and manage smart home devices using voice commands directly through the LG Magic Remote, eliminating the need for external hardware.
The AI ThinQ technology enables the televisions to understand complex voice commands for tasks such as searching for content, adjusting settings, or interacting with other connected devices. Features like Alexa Routines allow users to create custom command sequences for daily tasks, such as controlling smart lighting and checking weather forecasts. Google Assistant integration further streamlines managing schedules and shopping lists.
Further enhancing connectivity, the 2019 OLED and select NanoCell TVs also support Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit. AirPlay 2 enables seamless streaming of video, music, and photos from Apple devices to the TV. HomeKit compatibility allows users to control the television using Siri voice commands or the Apple Home app.
LG states this new range aims to simplify customers' lives by transforming the television into a central hub for entertainment and smart home management, offering a more intuitive and connected user experience.
